I tried Otaru and found them to be fabulously overpriced. Good food, but 50% higher than sushi in Los Angeles. However, there is a new sushi restaurant in Lamai. It is called Ageha Sushi. This restaurant is sublime. I highly recommend Ageha Sushi. Gorgeous sushi. Super fresh, as they use only local fish. This restaurant is Japanese owned, and one can tell by the food. Open only one month, but we are all hoping they do well. Very reasonably priced, great service, and a delightful place to eat. Do not hesitate to try it. Nearly across the street from Tesco in Lamai. As good as, or better than Otaru in Chaweng, for a third of the price.

Zazen is my favourite restuarant on Samui, the buggy ride through the stupendous, newly appointed floodlit courtyard area to the enchanting candlelit serpentine walkway through the beautiful gardens sets the mood for a wonderful eating experience. The menu is extensive and shows the creative talent of Chef Wally to its best, I have been many times and have always been delighted. The menu is updated periodically and is full of brilliant innovations, the fusion of Asian and Western cuisine is far more succesfull than I have found elsewhere, the surprise complimentary courses are a delight and the cooking is unsurpassed,I have never been so satisfied anywhere in the world and I am 70 years old. The service is impeccable and the front of house management should be congratulated on the standard of the staff training which must obviously be given, well done Zazen and long may it continue.

after we are reading on eating on samui about the cliff, we want to have a dinner there, it's a stunning place with a stunning view, we had a perfect dinner, and also a lovely after-dinner with a couple of cocktails. We had only one problem, the closing time :D, we're abits to eat too late at night, and leave the resturant late, we'de like to stay more... but we remainig just in two. Maybe next time we're going before.

There are a lot of Indian restaurants in Samui, and I think that here is the most delicious.
Because tandoori might not be able to cook in daytime, we will recommend dinner.

The room has a spectacular view of the ocean. It is also very spacious with a homey feel. The restaurant is a great place to eat in the morning because of the view of the ocean. They have a friendly staff to welcome you and attend to your needs and requests.

The staff of the hotel are also friendly and polite. They also gave us a free champagne and cake when we arrived as their gift to us for our honeymoon.

Great place to stay in if you want to relax and have peace and quiet to relax and recharge.

This is not the restarants fault, there were many peoople who smoked eating around us. Maybe a non smoking section would be great or seat them where wind dissipates the smoke easily.
