“Olivio Restaurant offers a superb selection of dishes, right on the beach in Chaweng.” Situated directly on the beach in Chaweng, Olivio Restaurant serves a range of high quality Italian cuisine at affordable prices. Part of Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort in North Chaweng, it reflects the elegance and charm that characterizes the resort as a whole. The restaurant is open on three sides and provides stunning views over the beach and sea. You can choose to dine outside or under a covered area, and at night the mood is romantic with candles lit on every table and a star-lit backdrop.

With over thirty years experience in the food industry, Executive Chef Luigi Fadda not only prepares a selection of appetizing dishes for the menu, but will also advise on special sauces and methods of cooking fresh seafood, which you can choose from the ‘seafood boat.’ Signature dishes on his menu include the antipasto for two, made up of goose liver, smoked salmon, fresh soft shell crab, tuna and mozzarella cheese. Another favourite is the rock lobster fettuccine with garlic and chili, while the crème brulee is a mouth-watering concoction which comes with kiwi ice-cream and sprinkles of burnt sugar – a “melt -in-your- mouth” experience.

The menu at Olivio is extensive, with an entire page devoted to vegetarian options. The usual pasta dishes are all available, but particular emphasis is placed upon seafood, with lobster, king fish, red tuna, sword fish, squid and salmon being only a few of the wide variety on offer.The seafood is all completely fresh, with Luigi himself overseeing the buying, cleaning and presentation on every plate. A large wine fridge guarantees a broad selection of wines, with the Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz and Chardonnay being particularly recommended. The bar also stocks a range of liqueurs and ‘Happy Hour’ between 4 and 7pm entices you with discounts on selected cocktails and Beer.
