Jumpol Hiran learned English at the same time as cooking; twenty years ago he started working in hotel kitchens with a view to making mouthwatering dishes. Watching international chefs taught him the tools of the trade, and the language they used was invariably English.
He rose through the culinary ranks and worked in various hotels in the Phuket area, such as Banyan Tree, where he was chef de partie and then Avista Kata Beach and Sunsuri Naihan Beach, where he was executive chef. He’s a master of both Thai and international cuisine and is adept at whipping up tasty dishes of many varying kinds.
More usually known as Chef Bee, he’s now on Samui where he’s executive chef at The Height restaurant (Silavadee Pool Spa Resort), where he’s in charge of all the restaurant facilities. He uses best quality products for mouth-watering recipes which are then beautifully presented.
With a huge range of experience chef Bee is happy to cook for his many guests, who come from just about everywhere in the world. He also caters for weddings, romantic dinners and puts on an inordinately good breakfast for those staying at Silavadee.
