With 18 years experience both in Thailand and regional destinations such as Japan and Singapore, Khun Soonthorn has a vast repertoire of dishes and expertise. Before coming to Samui, he managed kitchens at some of Phuket’s finest hotels, holding positions such as Director of Kitchen and Service at the 5-Star Phuket Pavilions Resort, and Group Executive Chef for Tamarind Group, who own both the Surin Beach and Kata Bay Garden Resort. Khun Soonthorn has also played a vital role at JW Marriott Phuket Resort and Spa and the Sheraton Grand Laguna beach Resort and Spa. With such vast experience in the kitchens, it’s a small wonder that the menus at the Kandaburi Resort’s Kandalina and Orchidea restaurants ar fast becoming renowned throughout Samui for their quality and taste.
